My wife and I are planning a two day walk along the beach from Torrey Pines State Beach to Oceanside Pier. If anyone has done this we would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions.
This hike is laid out in chapter 6 of "Walkabout Malibu to Mexico: Hiking Inn to Inn on the Southern California Coast." It is about a 22 mile hike, and you can make it into a 2 of 3 day inn-to-inn hike. This is a beautiful hike that includes popular beaches and long stretches where you might have the beach to yourself, a wonderful combination of great people watching and periods of solitude. We suggest hiking to South Carlsbad State Beach for the first night and then walk into Oceanside on the second day.
