My modified easy Marin Coast Inn to Inn we are doing April 2023. This hike does not include the leg from Bolinas to Point Reyes.
Two friends are meeting at Stinson Beach in separate vehicles. We will leave one vehicle at the beach parking lot at Stinson Beach and drive the other vehicle to the trailhead at Mi Wok Stables (701 Tennessee Valley Road, Mill Valley, 35 minute drive, 13.5 miles). We are only doing this for the convenience of having a vehicle at the end of our hike, avoiding the bus ride back to Mill Valley.
DAY 1: Mi Wok Stables to Muir Beach 4.1 miles
Tennessee Valley Trail to Coastal Trail
Accommodations: The pricey Pelican Inn (small room $332, but includes a scrumptious breakfast)
DAY 2: Muir Beach to Stinson Beach 6.8 miles
Hidden stairs up to highway. Coast View Trail to Dipsea Trail to Stinson Beach
Accommodations: Our affordable option - an airbnb. We opted for a two night stay.
DAY 3: Stinson Beach to Bolinas 13.5 miles
Willow Camp Trail to Coastal Trail along Bolinas Ridge. Descend down McCurdy Trail to Bolinas.
Return via bus to Stinson Beach. On weekends, last bus from Bolinas to Stinson is at 6:30 pm. Overnight back at the Airbnb in Stinson.
DAY 4: Leisurely morning to enjoy Stinson Beach before driving back to our vehicle to Mi Wok Stables.
An early morning easy hike could include the Stinson Beach Trail - an easy 4.3 mile walk along the shore.
